Job Profile:- ROLE DESCRIPTION
A) Conduct Gemology/Jewellery Designing Program as per the guidelines
B)Conduct extra classes as per the guidelines .
C) Addresses student concerns and attend to them promptly effectively D) Interface students regarding academic performance
E) Suggesting students for methods of improvement
F) Maintains and fosters sensitivity and respect for a culturally diverse classroom environment
G) Participates in Education meetings and training, as needed, concerning courses material instruction, student concerns, operational administrative procedures, etc.
H) Proctors tests; receives, corrects, and processes student assignments.
I) Submits all required class paperwork and documents in a timely and complete manner.
J) Submits final student grades to Student Services according to required schedule Communicates effectively, gets along with co-workers and management, and deals with others effectively and professionally under pressure
K)Work on identifying new areas of content requirement as per Industry/Student feedback and work towards it. Theory – Different types of gemstones and metals – Cuts and proportions of gemstones – Different types of settings and linkings – Design parameters – Basics of Jewellery manufacturing – Design Layout – Fabrication – Stone Setting – Grinding – Final Finishing, Scrubbing Assembly Practical – Exercises on identification of metals and gemstones – Exercises on identification of different types of cuts and proportions of gemstones – Exercises on understanding of different types of settings and linkings – Exercises on understanding of various design parameters – Demos on jewellery manufacturing techniques
Desired Skills: 1.Education requirements: Graduated (Any Discipline), Graduate or Diploma Holder in Gemology. 2. Work Experience: Relevant work experience of 1 to 3 years 3.Skills
Abilities: 4.
In-depth knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, gem identification equipments, jewellery designing CAD CAM and understanding of the jewelry industry
5.Ability to demonstrate a command of theory and contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in field
6.Ability to effectively present course material and provide answers and feedback to students.
7. Ability to effectively interface with staff and students 8. Strong Communication skills
